SAM in Orthotics

The use of pedometers in AFOs have been used in a wide variety of studies. 

One study used the data from SAM       to determine the best type of device to be prescribed in children with cerebral palsy.

Andiamo is a company that uses additive manufacturing to fabricate pediatric AFOs with a pedometer. They are currently in the trial phase of integrating sensors in their AFOs.
